Founded in 2019, Petcademy originated from a simple yet impactful experience - the adoption of a dog named Harry by our co-founder and CEO, Bailey Schroeder. Harry had numerous behavioral challenges, sparking a journey for Bailey to find effective training and behavioral support.

This journey led Bailey to School for the Dogs in NYC. After months of in-person training and countless discussions on topics like passing other dogs on the street, choosing Harry's bed placement, introductions to new people, and preparing for vet visits, Harry settled into his new home and life with Bailey. In fact, he thrived!

This personal experience highlighted a widespread need for accessible, affordable, high-quality training and behavioral support for pet parents, especially in the wake of COVID-19, when many animals required fostering, and families were adopting dogs and cats for the first time.

Petcademy was born out of a desire to help every dog and cat parent worldwide live safe and happy lives. We know that the questions and challenges pet parents face can be tough, and can often leave new pet parents feeling frustrated and isolated. We’ve all been there! Through community support, expert guidance, and digestible learning materials, pets and their families can thrive. Just like Bailey and Harry!
